In May 2009, Manchester City Football Club announced a significant partnership with Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates. This comprehensive partnership agreement included the Manchester City playing kit, as well as the naming rights for the Etihad Stadium and the Etihad Campus.
Expanding its partnership within City Football Group, Etihad Airways then became the principal shirt and team partner of New York City and the shirt partner of Melbourne City, demonstrating the airline’s deep commitment to global engagement and connecting football fans worldwide.
