Activation Highlights

OFFICIAL AUTOMOTIVE PARTNER

As Official Automotive Partner of six CFG clubs, Nissan provides vehicles to the Club with a focus to move to a fully electric fleet as quickly as possible.

PURPOSE-DRIVEN

Nissan actively supports several purpose-driven initiatives across CFG. For Manchester City, Nissan provides equipment for the Powerchair Team ensuring football is accessible for all. Nissan has also become the Official Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Partner of City in the Community (CITC) in Manchester.

AMBASSADOR PROGRAMME

Working with Head Coach Pep Guardiola has provided Nissan with an authentic platform to drive awareness and education of their electric vehicle range. Pep’s passion for electric vehicles, and driving a Nissan ARIYA himself, has allowed Nissan to create a variety of unique content pieces, including the recent Be More Pep campaign.

NISSAN & CITY FOOTBALL GROUP

Sharing CFG values around performance, innovation and sustainability, Nissan and CFG have come together to deliver excitement to football fans in six territories where CFG has clubs. CFG’s unique global structure gives Nissan a platform to drive innovation, enrich lives and promote electric vehicles.

The partnership began when CFG became a minority stakeholder in Yokohama F. Marinos while Nissan also held a stake in the Club. The partnership proved extremely successful as YfM went on to win two domestic J1-League titles (2019 and 2022).

Nissan then expanded their partnership portfolio to five additional CFG clubs and have helped deliver impactful activations including: Be More Pep campaign, Electrify the City, Engraved in History and Nissan Away Days, which saw legends and celebrities take to the road in the Nissan ARIYA to bring electrification to away matches.
